The Charity Ariane can bring you back some hope in the treatment of some of the most misunderstood diseases of our time. The hope is to regain equilibrium and health, with novel lines of interventions based on informative and advanced scientific biomedical testing.

Our first line of research focuses on disorders affecting the child and adolescent; autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dysphasia, and epilepsy. These disorders are now understood as resulting from complex interactions between genetic and environmental factors.

Autism, in particular, regarded until recently as an incurable genetic psychiatric condition not amenable to treatment, is now seen from the work initiated by the DAN! (Defeat Autism Now!) organisation over the last 10 years in the USA, as being treatable. Indeed, children affected with autism, when treated with biomedical interventions show improvements in the severity of their symptoms, and at times, to the point of full recovery Our second line of research concerns disorders affecting the adult; Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and related conditions, depression, fibromyalgia, and spasmophilia. These disorders can be addressed using the same biomedical testing tools, and as for the developmental disorders mentioned above, they do respond favorably to intervention. Finally our approach bears considerable benefits for the prevention of developmental disorders in the child at risk.

Ariane is founded by a French practitioner trained as a DAN! physician. It regroups parents, patients and professionals, united by the same revolutionary biomedical approach. Please refer to our section on testimonies to appreciate the potential these interventions hold in terms of treatment and amelioration of symptoms.

*OBJECTIVES AND MEANS OF ACTIONS*

The number of children affected developmentally and adults suffering from CFS is greatly increasing, pointing to an environmental origin. We provide investigations and treatments along 5 potential areas of disturbance: diet (gluten and casein), pathologies of the gastro-intestinal system (dysbiosis), nutritional deficiencies (fatty acids, minerals and vitamins), heavy metal toxicity, and pathologies of the immune system.

Ariane has organised several conferences (19th October 2002, and 29th of March 2003 in Paris, and more recently in collaboration with other charities, a conference in Edinburgh on the 14th and 15th of October 2005, in which several American DAN! practitioners took part (see conference section on www.filariane.org ). These conferences aim at informing parents and patients on the development of successful novel interventions and providing further training to physicians. Together with Ariane, we are looking forward to a healthier future. We are counting on your action and support
